Azure App Service Timezone Change

Azure App Service Timezone Change

Azure App Service is a popular platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offering from Microsoft Azure, which allows users to deploy and manage web applications easily. One common requirement for web applications is to display date and time in the user’s local timezone. Azure App Service provides several ways to configure the timezone settings for web applications.

The default timezone setting for Azure App Service is Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). However, users can change the timezone to their preferred timezone by modifying the application settings in the Azure portal. To do this, users need to follow the below steps:

  1. Open the Azure portal and navigate to the App Service that needs the timezone change.
  2. In the left menu, click on the “Configuration” option.
  3. In the Configuration blade, scroll down to the “Application settings” section and click on the “New application setting” button.
  4. In the “Name” field, enter “WEBSITE_TIME_ZONE” and in the “Value” field, enter the desired timezone in the “IANA Time Zone format”.
  5. Save the application settings by clicking on the “Save” button.

You can find the Timezone list at Microsoft Default Time Zones .
